Our Campus

At EMSA, we teach and practice Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. We believe that environmental education is for everyone and being good stewards of our planet includes caring for everyone and everything on it.

EMSA students draw connections between community building and caring for their environment. We can learn how to foster a healthy, sustainable community through appreciating biodiversity’s role in maintaining a stable and sustainable ecosystem.

Learning from field experts, our young scientists practice responsibility and stewardship of our campus’s natural resources and unique ecosystem.

With an outdoor learning lab at their fingertips, EMSA students engage in hand-on learning and scientific observation while benefiting from daily interaction the sights and sounds of nature.

Students plant native "buffer" areas around our Heritage Oak trees to protect root systems and our campus's natural watershed. 

Students learn the importance of our pollinators on our ecosystem and work hard to maintain a garden that will attract and nourish bees and butterflies for their hard work and journeys ahead. 

We are committed to honoring the legacy of our campus, restoring its architecture, preserving the natural environment, and rebuilding a thriving educational community.
