Wait List
Join our Wait List
If there is a wait list for your student’s grade level, then your student will be added to the wait list in the order the application is submitted.
EMSA's Admissions & Waitlist Information:
Thank you for your interest in EMSA! Initial admission offers were made based on the results of our blind, public lottery. If a family chooses to decline their spot or withdraw their student’s registration, the next student on the waitlist (in the same grade level) will be offered admission.
How to Check Your Student’s Waitlist Status:
You can view your student’s waitlist number by logging into their PowerSchool Account. For example, if your student is #2 on the waitlist, two students who are currently accepted into the same grade level would need to decline or withdraw their spot before your child is offered admission. Similarly, if your student is #53, then 53 students in that grade would need to withdraw or decline for a seat to become available.
At EMSA, we prioritize keeping families together. That means if a student already has a sibling enrolled at EMSA, they are given priority placement on the waitlist.
Because of this sibling preference, you may occasionally notice your child’s waitlist number shift—for example, from #3 to #4. This change is likely due to a sibling applicant being added ahead of them.
Admission Offers & Notifications
As spots become available, we will contact families in waitlist order to offer enrollment. Please ensure your contact information is up to date so we can reach you promptly.
Continued Applications & Enrollment
We accept applications throughout the school year. If your student is not admitted this year, their name will remain on the waitlist for one year. We encourage families to reapply through PowerSchool each year.
Once your child is enrolled at EMSA, there’s no need to reapply for future years—continued attendance secures their place at the school.
